Can an engineer visit my house to resolve a problem?
Yes we offer appointments throughout the day. Please note that we are unable to offer specific times other than the am/pm.
My property has been affected by storm damage - is this covered under warranty?
Unfortunately your warranty does not cover you in this instance. However Tudor Rose can offer a quotation to either fix/replace your product. This quote could then be supplied to your insurance company for approval. To arrange for a quotation please call us on 0800 032 5252 or fill in our online Quote form.
My gutters are leaking, is this covered under the Tudor Rose warranty?
To make sure that you don't incur an unnecessary charge, please ensure that your gutters are free from debris first. If your gutters are clear then we should cover you under our warranty.
My key won't turn in my door what can I do?
Check the following
- Correct key is being used? - has it worked previously?
- Does the cylinder appear loose? - YES - tighten with screwdriver
- Is the cylinder stiff? - YES - lubricate
- If keep is loose? - YES - tighten with screwdriver
- Please check there is no debris on the door jams or lock keeps
- Please make sure the handle has been lifted to its full position
- Make sure there is no additional key inserted into the lock keep on the opposite side

LUBRICATION
Cylinders can be lubricated using lock graphite (or graphite pencil), apply lubricant to key only and work the key in and out of cylinder a few times, never apply lubricant directly into the cylinder as this may cause internal pins to stick. DO NOT use WD40 or other water displacement fluids.
If you're still experiencing problems please call us on 0800 032 5252 or complete the complete the online customer care form.
There is a problem with our product but our product is under warranty from the previous property owner

Please call us 0800 032 5252 or fill in our online customer care form and we will help you with your quotation.
My hinges have become loose on my window, what can I do to resolve this?
You could try tightening the small brass adjustment screw located on both top and bottom hinges on the body of the frame that is fixed with a small flat head screwdriver. If this doesn't work please call us on 0800 032 5252 or complete the online customer care form.
Mould has started to form on the silicone of the window, does the warranty cover this?
Unfortunately we do not cover this under our warranty, this would be a very rare occasion as most most silicone sealants are anti-fungal, however this can be cleaned using sterilising fluid.
There is 'standing water' in the gutter on my conservatory
The conservatory has a level base and is designed to hold up to an inch of standing water at any time, so this should not cause a problem.
I have condensation forming on the interior of my windows. Is this covered under the warranty?
Unfortunately condensation like this is not covered under your warranty as it is naturally occurring, this can however be eliminated by controlling the climate temperature of each individual room, please take into consideration that every room is ventilated accordingly especially around kitchens, bathrooms and showers. Always make sure the windows are cleaned as dust acts like a sponge which can attract moisture to the window surface, condensation cannot be eradicated 100% from any property as each property is individual in itself with regards to how it operates. Installation of 'A' rated windows does a better job of eradicating condensation than standard double glazed units. In the unlikely event of having condensation in the sealed units please contact us on 0800 032 5252
I have condensation on the exterior surface of the window, what should I do?
As the seasons change, we experience conditions which make the appearance of condensation on the outdoor surface of glass more likely. This is not a product fault, but a sign that our windows are doing their job, keeping the heat inside buildings and the cold out. Because they keep the heat in, the outdoor surface gets colder than less energy efficient products. Because of this, in certain weather conditions, condensation can form on the outdoor surface of the glass. Click here to view our video explaining the effects.
How do I maintain my windows and frames?
Maintain your uPVC by cleaning it once every 6 weeks with plenty of warm soapy water (washing up liquid is fine) and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Wash your glass using clean, warm soapy water or glass cleaner. If you are using glass cleaner apply it to the cloth to avoid getting excess glass cleaner on the PVCU. Both warm soapy water and glass cleaner can be used on lead effect windows. For any stubborn stains on uPVC use a non-abrasive uPVC cleaner which is available, call 0800 032 5252.

What types of flooring do you offer for conservatories?
We offer a great range of flooring options for your new conservatory - ranging from Ceramic Floor Tiles, Laminate Flooring, Wooden & Timber Floors. We also offer a range of Kardean & Amtico premium flooring.
I have an existing conservatory with a polycarbonate roof! Can it be upgraded to a glass roof?
Altering a polycarbonate roof to glass is possible, but there are potential complications. For example, the roof bars may not be strong enough to carry the extra weight of the glass, and the thickness of the polycarbonate may not be the same thickness as the glass sealed units. We may be able to replace the roof, but leave existing UPVC frames in place, but this can also be difficult. If you are unsure, we will happily send out a Consultant for a FREE site survey.
Why don't you do instant online quotes for your products?
You will find conservatory prices on our website. We have a range of standard conservatories. Bespoke conservatories are made especially for you. Some companies will quote approximate prices on their websites or in the local press, or even when you first speak to them. We cannot give you an approximate price online for bespoke products – it would be impossible to give you an accurate figure for a tailor-made products. As such, any websites offering you a price online should be treated with caution as you may end up with a nasty surprise if you invite them round. We believe in providing you with a price tailored to your exact requirements and the bespoke product designed to fit perfectly with your home. Click here to arrange your FREE no-obligation quotation
Do we need Planning Permission for a new Conservatory?
Under new regulations that came into effect from 1 October 2008 adding a conservatory to your home is considered to be permitted development. In most cases you will not require planning permission for your conservatory under the present legislation, unless you are adding a conservatory to a house that has already been extended. Click here for details on Planning Permission on the planning portal.
Can you build a new conservatory on an existing base?
We are able to build a conservatory on an existing base as long as the base is in good order and to our high standards. Get a FREE QUOTE today and one of our consultants can inspect the base thoroughly and advice on any issues that may arise.
Will your tradesmen be at our house every day?
No. We will plan your installation over a preset time which will be agreed by both parties in advance. We also include some ‘contingency’ time so if anything unexpected crops up - like bad weather, we can deal with it without hopefully affecting the date we've agreed to fit your products.
Will there be a lot of dust when installing my products?
Compared with most building projects, No. However, if we need to knock through from the outside into your home, some dust and debris will result. Many people like to protect flooring with tough plastic and cover furnishings with dustsheets, as well as take down curtains and move any furniture. We recommend you do the same.
Do we need to take time off work?
Not necessarily, but if you are not planning to be at home, you need to make arrangements for power and water to be available, once your installation is complete you will need to be present to sign off all satisfaction documents.
I’m delighted with my new windows, doors or conservatory. Do you have a recommend and reward scheme?
We do. You can earn cash for every recommendation you make and your friends and family will benefit too. On completion of your installation we will send you all details on how you can earn cash for every person you recommend that results in a new installation by Tudor Rose.
